The Nailery Hawaii is the creation of Dexter Do, nail artist extraordinaire. Dexter grew up in Honolulu, HI, attended McKinley High School, and graduated from the University of Hawaii. Moving to Florida made Dexter interested in doing nails, and after graduating from a specialized school to get his license, Dexter now has been practicing his craft for more than 18 years.
He is very well-known throughout Hawaii for his amazing nail designs that today remain on the cutting-edge of the industry. Dexter takes great personal joy and pride in knowing that all of his clients enjoy his work.
Dexter’s crowning professional achievement came when he won second place, the silver medal, at the World Nail Competition. Dexter placed second in the artistic design category with his mind-blowing impression of a Wyland painting design on nails.

Today, The Nailery Hawaii is one of Hawaii’s eminent nail salons and it continues to feature incredible fine art designs much like you’d find in a gallery. Dexter and his experienced staff provide custom nail art designs for many occasions, and Dexter personally consults with clients on custom services for events such as bridal parties and showers, girls’ night outs, and company parties here in Hawaii.
His work also takes him outside The Nailery Hawaii, where he is a major sponsor and supporter of the Miss Hawaii, Miss Hawaii USA winners and the contestants. You will find many of his custom designs showcased on these contestants from year to year.
In addition, Dexter is an independent financial and retirement consultant and an account manager for Ricoh Business Solutions where he also provides document management improvement/network service solutions and office equipment.
